Alan R. Gedrich

Alan Gedrich is a Partner in the law firm of Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP in Philadelphia, PA.  His law practice primarily involves the representation of investment funds (including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds), and investment advisers with respect to their formation, operations and compliance.  Mr. Gedrich also represents corporate clients with respect to all aspects of federal and state securities law (including public and private securities offerings), as well as mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.   He has practiced law with Stradley Ronon since his graduation from law school in 1987.  Prior to entering law school, Mr. Gedrich was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (formerly, Coopers & Lybrand) from 1982 to 1984 and received his CPA in 1984.

In addition to his legal practice, over the years, he has held leadership roles in charitable, cultural and educational organizations, including service as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Walnut Street Theatre, the Penn State University Alumni Council, Alumni Society of the Smeal College of Business, the Advisory Board of the Farrell Center for Entrepreneurship, the Advisory Board of the Garber Venture Fund, and the Board of Trustees of the National Kidney Foundation (Philadelphia chapter).  He is also a member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

Mr. Gedrich received his B.S. in accounting from Penn State University in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh Law School in 1987.   He also attended the University of Cologne, in Cologne, Germany in 1981.

He is married and has two sons, Ross (age 11) and Austin (age 10). His son Ross attends AIM.
