AIM hosted 240 people at a star-lit Crystal Tea Room for our 2nd Annual AIM for the Stars gala benefit. Our thanks go to Honorary Chair Patti LaBelle, Special Guest Rick Williams of 6 ABC News, our chairs, committee, and all of our sponsors and supporters. Dr. Ned Hallowell and Dr. Dennis Wint were truly inspirational in their acceptance speeches for the Sally L. Smith Founder's Award. Both of these brilliant men described their learning differences and how they have come to embrace these differences as true advantages in how they view the world. Our sixth grade students who presented "people of influence" who overcame learning differences were poised and amazingly impressive. Our Fund the Dream tables were filled with pledges of support for our endowment, arts and playground equipment to name a few.
