Dear AIM Families,

It is with great pleasure and pride that I am informing you that Pat Roberts was honored as Commencement Speaker for West Chester University on May 2, 2009. 

Over 1700 undergraduates and their families had the privilege of hearing Pat speak about the challenges she faced during similar economic conditions when she graduated from West Chester in 1973.  Pat inspired the graduates with the fact that such challenges create other opportunities and she outlined how she became an "educational entrepreneur".

Her speech told about the development of AIM~Academy In Manayunk which was inspired by her own daughter's challenges with learning differently. 

I attended this ceremony, along with my family, and we were all moved by her words of compassion and enthusiasm for education. It was a remarkable day that I will never forget.
