Sam Greenblatt

Sam Greenblatt, Chair of the 2006 FAJA Campaign, has been involved in Philadelphia community service activities since graduating from Temple University in 1972.  He was active in the Young Adult Division of the Federated Allied Jewish Appeal, later becoming its chairman. During this tenure, Mr. Greenblatt was instrumental in forming the Renaissance Group in Philadelphia, and received the prestigious Meyer Feinstein Leadership Award given by Federation for his various efforts during that time. Mr. Greenblatt was also a member of the National Young Leadership Cabinet of UJA and has led several UJA missions to Israel.  In addition to serving as chairman of the Young Adult Division, he has held many other positions within the Federation campaign, including chairman of Leadership Philanthropy, vice chairman of Trades and Professions and vice chairman of the overall campaign.

Sam Greenblatt has been active in other Jewish organizations and served previously as the vice chairman of the Regional Advisory Board of the Anti-Defamation League and on the boards of the JCC Camps, Federation Housing, Jewish Community Center and Technion.  He also served as the General Chairman of the Philadelphia Committee of Israel Bonds.

Currently, Mr. Greenblatt serves as the Chairman of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Associates of Ben Gurion University and is also on the Board of the Abramson Center for Jewish Life.

He is married to Jodi and they have two sons, Andy and Hal.  They are members of Meadowlands Country Club.  Mr. Greenblat is Executive Vice President of RAIT Investment Trust, a New York Stock Exchange Company.
