Jackie L. Bergman
Secretary of the Board of Trustees Jacqueline L. Bergman is uniquely qualified in the development and management of not-for-profit community organizations. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University. She later earned her MBA from Rutgers University, concentrating in Financial Administration. She began her business career as a financial analyst with The Prudential, serving in managerial positions in the Comptrollers Department in both a regional office and the national corporate office. Ms. Bergman then joined Automatic Data Processing in northern New Jersey where she was Director of Accounting Operations and consulted on financial management information systems. Ms. Bergman left the business world to focus on her family and community activities. She was appointed a Director of the Montgomery County Commission for Women and Family. Later she became a Board Member of the Women’s Center of Montgomery County, followed by election to the Board of Laurel House, a shelter for abused women and their children. Over time she served as President and as Treasurer of the Laurel House board. Ms. Bergman is a dedicated food and wine enthusiast. She is on the National Board and is a member of the Executive Committee and Finance Committee of the American Institute of Food and Wine. She is also a member of the internationally renowned Chaine de Rotisseurs and the James Beard Foundation. Ms. Bergman is the mother of a 17 year old son with learning difficulties. She has been actively and directly involved in his continuing educational process. |
