Martha Benoff, Ph.D.
Martha Benoff, Ph.D. is in a private practice established in 1981. Her primary focus has been on psychological-educational evaluations and assessment of students, from pre-school through young adulthood. She also practices family/children therapy as well as ongoing advising intra-family relationships. In addition, she conducts in-service training for schools, with a focus on learning disability issues. Dr. Benoff previously worked in a variety of clinical and educational settings and institutions, with a continuing theme of the needs of children dealing with learning disabilities. She served at the Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Abington Friends School and in the Federation Day Care Services program. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned a Post Doctoral fellowship in Clinical and Child Psychology from Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and a Certificate from the Marriage Council of Philadelphia (affiliated with University of Pennsylvania). For relaxation, Dr. Benoff enjoys biking, hiking and travel. |
