MS Start Up Businesses Flourishing at AIM

In addition to creating fearless learners, AIM is excited to foster even more business innovators adding Middle School entrepreneurship classes to our already successful Upper School Start Up program. Fifteen Middle Schoolers are in the early stages of launching their new businesses under the guidance of Start Up teacher PJ Raduta. In addition to learning about identifying and solving problems, business financials and sales pitches, the Middle School students were able to learn from an actual entrepreneur, AIM 2015 graduate Tyler Korman.

Buddy Bench - Before and After

The outdoor Buddy Bench, where AIM Academy students can sit if they want to talk to someone but are uncomfortable approaching others, has gotten a lot of use since 5th graders constructed it three years ago. This summer, 7th grader Josh J. took home the weather-beaten bench to give it a much-needed facelift.

AIM Academy Receives Specialized Foundation Bike Program Grant

AIM Academy has been selected as one of nine schools from a pool of 200 applicants to receive a Riding for Focus grant from The Specialized Foundation to begin a cycling program this fall. Riding for Focus, a program developed by the non-profit arm of bike maker Specialized Bicycle Components, integrates cycling into the academic day as a tool to help children achieve academic and social success.
