Class of 2017 Graduates at June 2 Commencement

Faculty, students, families and friends gathered for AIM Academy's sixth Upper School commencement exercises on June 2 as the 15 members of the Class of 2017 received their diplomas. New York cinematographer and Long Island University media arts professor Larry Banks delivered the school's 6th commencement address focusing on the traits of compassion, passion and grit that he said will lead to successful futures.

AIM Students Win Film Festival Awards

AIM Academy Upper School students were winners at the recent awards ceremony for the Greenfield Youth Film Festival on April 27th. The 9-year-old film festival is a forum for young filmmakers from the metropolitan Philadelphia region to collaborate, create and showcase their work while expressing their creativity through film.

AIM Student Monologue Featured In 2017 Young Voices Monologue Festival

A monologue crafted in AIM Academy's Improv Drama class by AIM junior Liam Feeney '18 is being performed on stage by a professional actor this week during the Philadelphia Young Playwrights 2017 Young Voices Monologue Festival at the Drake Theatre. Liam was one of just 18 Philadelphia-area students whose creative monologues were chosen from almost 450 submissions to be performed by actors during the festival.

Class of 2017 Mulls College Acceptances

The Class of 2017 is enjoying their final AIM Academy Spring Break mulling over college acceptances and considering their next steps after AIM.The AIM College Counseling team has been working hard to guide students in finding their best-fit college choice over the past 6 plus months. With the ultimate goal of college graduation for all AIM graduates, our work is also highly individualized.

AIM Adopts On-Campus Facility Dog

AIM Academy students will soon welcome a four-legged companion into their midst. Kelly, a black lab-mix from local service dog organization Paws and Affection, will become the school's first on-campus facility dog. She will assist in easing anxiety, aid in practicing mindfulness, help students complete tasks in speech and occupational therapy sessions, provide motivation in learning, and even help bolster confidence in reluctant readers.
