The Academy In Manayunk

In Conjunction with The Lab School of Washington® Announces

"Marco Polo - Adventures on the Silk Road "
2008 Summer Enrichment Program

for bright children with learning disabilities
entering grades 1 - 9 in September

Monday - Friday
June 23 - July 25, 2008

9:00 am to 12:30 pm: Academic Program,  $2200

        • Arts-Based Learning Environment
        • Utilizes the highly successful Academic Club Methodology
        • Integrates speech and language & occupational therapy
        • Individualized Instruction in Wilson Reading, RAVE-O and Lindamood-Bell provided daily
        • Incorporates Assistive Technology Programs in Math/Reading

 

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm:  Afternoon Partnership Programs (optional)
Choose one Afternoon Program (cost includes transportation)

Schuylkill Center Nature Program, $600

        • Visit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic
        • Explore ponds and streams
        • Hike through woodlands
        • Construct habitats for local animals
        • Create art inspired by nature

Application fee of $100 includes a placement evaluation. Deposits will be returned if enrollment is filled or if it is determined that the student’s needs would not be met appropriately in our summer program.
