As the fall sports season winds down, AIM athletes are drawing accolades on the field, the golf and cross-country course and the river. Over the past week alone three AIM students were named to the Tri County Independent League's All-Star team for soccer, an AIM junior received her Philadelphia Junior PGA Player of the Year award, an AIM junior won a New Jersey golf tournament, AIM cross country runners placed 2nd in a 10-team field and an AIM freshman placed in the Head of the Schuylkill regatta.
At AIM Academy, athletics is an integral part of a program that incorporates many areas of learning. Through involvement in our interscholastic sports teams, which compete in the Tri-County Independent School League, and fitness and wellness programs students gain self-confidence and discipline, which also supports their emotional and social development. Athletics contribute to a well-rounded education for each student, by providing competitive and equitable sports programs that strive for achievement and excellence, with an emphasis on the health and personal development of all students.
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. – Accomplished golfer and AIM Academy junior Casey Oppenheimer finished her summer golf season with back-to-back Player of the Year honors from the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour. Oppenheimer, of Conshohocken, who received the award in the girls 16-18 age division this year, received the same award last year in the girls 13-15 age division.
