AIM Teachers Share Stage with Researchers at IDA Conference

Two AIM Academy Lower School teachers were presenters this week at the International Dyslexia Association conference in Orlando providing their perspective on developing successful research partnerships and joining Dr. Amy Elleman, Middle Tennessee State University, and AIM Research Advisory Board Member Dr. Donald Compton, Director of the Florida Center for Reading Research, to share preliminary research results of a study on knowledge transfer that included 26 AIM 5th graders.

Last year, both 5th grade teacher Aviva Coyne-Green and Interactive Humanities Teacher Emily Pritchard took an active role working with leading reading researchers to plan a study examining the critical role of building background knowledge to support comprehension development in children with learning differences.
