5th Grade Reflect on AIM

As the 5th graders look forward to an exciting few weeks ahead, they have also taken the time to reflect on their experiences as AIM Lower School students. In conjunction with our final unit, Inventive Thinking, each 5th grader was tasked with explaining how AIM is an innovative school and how AIM has helped them as learners and individuals. Their written products allowed them to verbalize the unique and lasting impact AIM has had on each and every one of them. Below are some quotes...

"Here at AIM everyone has a smile on his or her face. This helps me with my mood. When good vibes spread through my day, happiness strikes me immediately. AIM teachers either teach or show me how to keep my head held high. AIM is truly a miracle. Knowing that AIM is by my side is comforting, and everyday I come to school I feel like AIM is home. Home is where the heart is they say, and I say that AIM is where the heart is. AIM Academy is a part of my life in many ways and will be in the future." - Alex

"AIM has helped me as an individual to grow stronger. It has given me more self-confidence. The teachers here understand how I feel. The teachers here also understand my dyslexia and ADHD. At AIM I've learned I can overcome this and I can still find a way to learn successfully. All I can say is thank you to everyone who has helped me." - Andrew

"AIM Academy is an innovative learning environment because at AIM all the students work at their own pace and all the teachers are nice. When you are stuck or don't understand, the teachers will always help you. The teachers are like grown up friends that help you out." - Paulina

"AIM has impacted me as a learner and now I can make more friends who understand I need to move at my own pace. AIM lets me be who I am, not what I should be. If I never had the help that AIM gives me, I may have not gotten to the point that I am at right now in learning. Thanks to AIM's teachers, I think I will be a very successful person in the future." - Zach

"AIM has impacted me as an individual in many ways. It has helped me see the beauty of reading and now I love reading. I always have my face glued to a book when I'm at home." - Chase

"AIM has developed a strong support system to help their students become successful learners. Instead of the huge classes of public schools, they have classes that are 2-10 students in each. With the small numbers in classes, they aren't as loud and hectic. This helps students focus better while working. At AIM no student will feel ignored. No student's questions will go without being answered. AIM is an extremely incredible and helpful school. I never want to leave." - Maddy
