Fall 2020 - Learning Options
Each AIM student has the opportunity to select one of two learning options for the start of the school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2020: On-Campus Instruction and 100% Remote Learning.
On Campus Instruction Model
- Lower School (1st-5th Grade) - 5 Days a Week In Person - Includes in-school technology instruction to prepare for remote learning if required.
- Middle School and Upper School (6th-12th Grade) - Students will be divided into Blue and Gold Groups attending classes on campus 3 days per week (with classmates from the other group joining from home) and attending classes remotely (joining their on-campus classmates) 2 days a week in alternating weeks. On home days students will participate synchronously with their classmates at school so that classes will be comprised of students in Blue and Gold groups. Alternating Blue/Gold Wednesdays provide an additional day of in-person instruction every other week.
AIM 100% Remote Learning (1st-12th Grade)
This program will be taught by AIM teachers with live instruction and allow for interaction with both teachers and students. Students participating in 100% Remote Learning will still have the opportunity to participate in scheduled extracurriculars and athletics programs at AIM.
While families will of course interact with teachers and advisors about academic and social experiences of their students, Jim Flemming, AIM’s Academic Technology Specialist, will serve as the technology point person for our 100% Remote Learning students.
During the year students required to self-quarantine or isolate will have access to 100% remote learning when they are unable to be on campus. If AIM is required to close campus during the school year, ALL AIM students will transition to our Fully Remote Learning Model.
If selecting 100% Remote Learning, we ask that all participants commit this program through Winter Break (from September 8 to December 18) before evaluating other options. Hybrid Learning students can switch to 100% Remote Learning any time during the school year.
Please complete this Fall 2020 Learning Option Form by Friday, August 7. If we do not receive a completed form by August 7, we will assume that you are selecting our On-Campus Hybrid Model Option.
OUR LEARNING OPTION FORM IS NOW CLOSED. IF YOU NEED TO SUBMIT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING PLANS, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DIVISION HEAD.
