Business Office Associate

The mission of AIM is to develop a center for educational excellence and professional development to disseminate best practices to educators by providing access to the latest research-based curriculum, technology, and training.

We are seeking individuals with strong customer service and interpersonal skills who can research questions and resolve problems independently. This on campus position requires strong written communication skills as much of the work with customers is conducted over email.   Successful candidates will preferably need to have an Associate’s degree, with a minimum 2-5 years relevant financial/accounting experience at a school or with a non-profit organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work is essential.  Experience with computer applications such as Veracross, Salesforce, FACTS and Quickbooks are preferred but not required.

Essential Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Controller and Senior Accountant with the processing and reconciliation of Accounts Payable transactions for the School & the Institute. 

  • Assisting the Controller and Senior Accountant to maintain customer accounts through the entire billing and receivable process including collections for the School & the Institute.

  • Assisting the Controller and Senior Accountant with accounting and bookkeeping support as required, including the processing of journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations and other accounting activities as required for the School and the Institute.

  • Managing student billing in FACTS accounting system and working closely with the Admissions office to support student enrollment.

  • Assisting the Controller with monthly closings and fiscal year-end audits.

  • Other duties as assigned.
