College Counseling Intern

College Counseling Intern Position ~ Fall 2020

Overview

AIM Academy is excited to announce the opening of a College Counseling Internship position for the fall of 2020. With growing enrollment and a strong commitment to serving students with learning differences throughout the college guidance process, AIM is looking to add an intern to its College guidance office. This person would report directly to the Director of College Counseling and work in both an administrative capacity as well as directly with students. This position is unpaid, but is offered with the potential for future employment.

An ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting bright children with learning differences through individualized approaches. Internship positions are provided in exchange for a generous professional development residency that lasts the duration of the school year. Interns may receive Wilson Level I certification, participate in the Pathways to Proficiency multi-day course, attend several sessions of the Access to Experts Speaker Series, and attend our annual Research Symposium. Additionally, interns are trained on AIM’s unique college preparatory curriculum during their residency and are often the first to receive full time positions as they become available.
