Wilson©-Trained Summer Reading Teacher

AIM Academy is seeking a trained Wilson^© Reading teacher to join our summer faculty. AIM Academy’s Summer Program is focused on tapping into the unique characteristics of children who learn differently and those who would benefit from hands-on, small-group instruction during the summer months.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all levels of the Wilson Reading System^©. The WRS is a “multi-sensory” training program and AIM is a Wilson^© Accredited Partner. It uses visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile senses to help kids make connections between sounds and words. An ideal candidate for this position would also have experience working with children with language-based learning differences. 

This position is for the 2023 Summer Program. Hours of responsibility are 8:45 am to 12:45 pm, Monday through Friday. The session begins on Monday, July 3, 2023 and ends on Friday, July 28, 2023.  We do not have school on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Wilson^© Certification, required

• PA or Private Academic Certification

• Excellence in writing, editing, and communication skills

• Ability to positively and constructively relate to students

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Adaptive learner and self-starter

• Strong technology skills
