Community Film Screening

Equity in Action: Pushing for Progress in Our Communities

On February 2nd, we hosted a community film screening of the short film Equity in Action: Pushing for Progress in Our Communities, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Andre Robert Lee (Prep School Negro and I'm Not Racist, Am I?). This film highlights three projects, funded by a 2019 grant from ADVIS and Carney Sandoe, designed to support tangible, measurable, and actionable strategies around themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion in independent schools.

Following the screening, Equity in Action grant awardee and Coordinator of DEI Penn Pritchard joined other members of AIM's curriculum and instructional leadership team for a community discussion about AIM's strategic approach to designing equitable, inclusive, and evidence-informed instruction for students who learn differently.
