Advisory and Executive Functioning Skills
In Advisory, students engage in important discussions about the brain and the executive functions that help them succeed in school and life. Students work with Advisors to set goals, monitor their own progress and develop advocacy skills. Short Advisory meetings occur daily and extended Advisory lessons are held every other week. Advisory is more than just a student’s home base at AIM. In Advisory, students meet one on one with faculty members, reflect on processes such as metacognition and review their progress.
