How to Apply

Our virtual Information Session is the best way to gain an in-depth understanding of AIM Academy and the students our program is developed to serve. Hear from our Head of School, Director of Admissions, Division Heads and students about our philosophy, curriculum, and intentional integration of services and extracurricular activities that will allow your child to receive the academic support they need without sacrificing a socially-robust school experience. 

After attending our virtual Information Session, and gaining a solid understanding of our program, you will be invited to come visit our campus during the school day to learn more during one of our Tuesday Tours.

Following the Information Session, you will also have access to our admission application in order to complete Step 3 of the process.

Our entire application is available online. Please complete all sections, submit a request for feedback from your child's current teacher, and upload all supporting documents through our admissions portal.

The following items are needed in order to complete your child's file for committee review:

• Complete Psychoeducational evaluation (completed within the past 24 months)
• Teacher Evaluation (delegated electronically)  
• Unofficial copy of your child's most recent report card/progress report
• Current Photo
• Non-refundable application fee of $100
• Records Release Form (submitted to your child's current school)
• Speech/Language and/or Occupational Therapy Evaluation (if applicable)
• Individualized Education Plan (IEP) (if applicable)

Once all materials have been received, the admissions committee will meet to review your child's file to determine if AIM may be a good fit to help support your child's academic needs. 

If the committee believes that your child could benefit from our program, they will be invited to spend a day at AIM shadowing a current AIM student, in order to offer them the opportunity to observe the full "AIM experience."

Students who are not considered to be a fit will be notified, and we are happy to discuss options which might be a better fit for your child's current needs. 

Once a student has visited AIM, the committee will meet again to make their final admissions decision.
