AIM Institute for Learning & Research was founded in 2006 with the express purpose of providing teachers and professionals both specialized training and access to field experts in the areas of spoken language, reading, writing, and math. New research indicates that the cognitive profile to reading for children with learning disabilities is similar to the path of our struggling readers from impoverished backgrounds. Our professional development programs reflect the latest research and knowledge of best practices and evidence based instruction for the classroom. We are committed to quickly translating laboratory research into effective interventions and educational practices for all students.
AIM Institute also offers an annual Research to Practice Symposium, an international "Access to the Experts" Speaker Series, and online resources for both professionals and parents. Our content and programming reflects the expertise of world renowned researchers and experts in the field of early literacy and learning differences.
To date, more than 4,500 professionals and parents have had access to experts and leading literacy researchers through programming at the AIM Institute. It is our mission to harness the power of science to improve outcomes for all children.
