Supporting Sam's Place
The Sam Ozer Fund was created to honor the memory of Samuel Ozer '20, an avid cyclist, budding engineer, environmentalist and outdoorsman who was taken from us far too soon.
Donations to the Sam Ozer Fund go directly to supporting Sam's Place which was created in Sam's honor and is the home to the AIM School Bikes cycling programs including our Project Bike tech training and as a home base for our Outride curriculum and our NICA student mountain bike team. Sam's Place is a place AIM students and the community can learn from mentor teachers and students the skill of bike repair, technology and entrepreneurship.
Join AIM riders and friends at the Royale With Cheese Part Deux ride up Port Royal Road, aka the “Philly Koppenberg” named after the legendary Belgium climb, on Saturday, May 7. Last year, friend of AIM Brian Biggs soloed up the dreaded hill 11 times to raise money for Sam's Place. He and his intrepid posse had such a great time, we thought we'd open it to everyone as a fundraiser to celebrate community, cycling, and Sam Ozer. Be sure to register or plan to join in the fun cheering on riders in May. This is just the sort of crazy fun Sam would have LOVED.
